Five-Step Approach to Setting Goals

This is my Five-Step Approach to Setting Goals in a very difficult class.
Course: Microeconomics
Step 1: Tentative Goal Statement
I want to make a B but no less than a C in Microeconomics
Step 2: List of Obstacles
1.       The reading material is dry and boring.
2.       The chapters in the text book are long.
3.       Economics has several formulas and I have difficult time understanding them.
4.       The exams and quizzes looks like a foreign language.
Step 3: List of Resources
1.       I’ll apply the material to real world economic issues.
2.       I’ll break the chapters into chunks and read a few pages at a time.
3.       I will consult my professor about hard to understand formulas.
4.       I will take the end of the chapter quizzes.
Step 4: Revised Goal Statement
I’ll try to earn a B in Microeconomics
Step 5: Polished Goal Statement
I will achieve a B in Microeconomics
